Filters for ILOX (IloxAir) ventilation units – how to choose the right model
ILOX (IloxAir) is a popular Finnish brand of ventilation units. Some models have also been sold under the name Onnline, and the same filter often fits both. In this guide we go through the most common ILOX models and the filters that fit them.
Identify your ILOX model
The model designation is on the unit's rating plate, for example ILOX 89, ILOX 89 Optima or ILOXAIR 129. Also check for a possible Onnline designation.
The most common ILOX models and their filters
The sets typically contain a fine filter for the supply air (F7) and a coarse filter for the extract air.
- ILOX 89 / 89 Plus / 89 Optima / 86 / 86 Plus (as well as Onnline Eco Kasari) – the most common models.
- ILOX 77 – a popular model, also available with activated carbon.
- ILOX 97 / 99 Optima / Mosaik – its own filter set.
- ILOXAIR 129 / 129 Plus / 129 Optima (as well as Onnline Maxi) – a higher-capacity model.
- ILOX 59 Plus – a more compact model.
- ILOX 199 and ILOX 297 / 397 – models for larger premises.
Coarse filter and activated carbon separately
For several ILOX models, coarse filters are available separately (e.g. 89 / 86 / Onnline Eco Kasari, 97/99/Mosaik, 129/Onnline Maxi) – handy if the extract-air coarse filter gets dirty faster than the supply air. For the 89 and 77 models, activated carbon filters are also available for odour removal.
Compatible or original?
For the most popular ILOX models, both a Finnish-made compatible filter and an original filter set are available (e.g. 89/86 Optima/Plus, 97/99, 129 Plus, 59 Plus and 199 as originals). Both fit the same unit.

Grease filters for IloxAir cooker hoods too
The ILOX range also includes grease filters for IloxAir cooker hoods (including Basic / Slide / Design and Satava) – remember these for the kitchen.

Filter classes and replacement interval
The supply-air filter is typically F7 (ePM1). The replacement interval is generally 6–12 months.
Summary
1. Check the model on the rating plate (e.g. ILOX 89 Optima).
2. Choose a filter set that matches the model.
3. Decide on compatible or original, and whether you need a coarse filter or activated carbon separately.
4. Change in time.
