Ruuvi Air air quality monitor
Ruuvi Air air quality monitor
Ruuvi Air is a versatile air quality monitor designed and manufactured in Finland that measures the most important indoor air conditions with a single device. It monitors particulate matter, carbon dioxide, VOC and NOx indexes, temperature, humidity and air pressure.
The Ruuvi Station app allows you to view measurement results in real time and as historical graphs. Ruuvi Air also provides a Ruuvi Indoor Air Quality Score (IAQS), which shows the overall indoor air quality on an easy-to-understand scale from 0–100.
Designed and manufactured in Finland.
Ruuvi Air measures 7 indoor air parameters:
CO2 – carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide concentration is particularly useful for indicating whether ventilation is sufficient in relation to the number of people in the space. Ruuvi Air measures CO? concentrations from 0–40,000 ppm.
Particulate matter – PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10
Particulate matter measurement helps monitor the concentration of particles in the air you breathe and, for example, the effects of cooking, outdoor air or air purification on indoor air quality.
VOC index
The VOC index responds to changes in volatile organic compounds in the air. The index makes it easier to detect the effects of activities such as cooking, cleaning and ventilation.
NOx index
Monitors changes related to nitrogen oxides. NOx compounds are generated particularly by traffic and various combustion processes.
Temperature
Continuous monitoring of indoor temperature helps assess the comfort and conditions of the space.
Humidity
Measures relative and absolute humidity as well as dew point. Indoor air that is too dry or too humid can affect both living comfort and building conditions.
Air pressure
Monitors changes in air pressure and environmental conditions.
Ruuvi Indoor Air Quality Score
Ruuvi Air makes it easy to monitor indoor air conditions with the IAQS air quality score.
The score is displayed on a scale from 0–100 and is calculated based on particulate matter (PM2.5) and carbon dioxide (CO?) concentrations.
The air quality status can also be quickly checked using Ruuvi Air's coloured LED indicator without opening your phone.
Measurement results in the Ruuvi Station app
Ruuvi Air connects via Bluetooth to the free Ruuvi Station app. The app is available for Android and iOS devices and does not require registration.
In the app, you can view real-time measurement results and historical graphs from all sensors, set your own alarm limits and see tips for improving air quality.
The device stores 10 days of measurement history, which can also be exported from the app for further processing.
The app is available in Finnish, Swedish, English, French and German.
Remote monitoring with Ruuvi Gateway
Ruuvi Air works independently via Bluetooth, with a typical indoor range of approximately 5–20 metres.
When you want to monitor air quality from outside your home or other measurement location, the system can be complemented with the separately sold Ruuvi Gateway and Ruuvi cloud service.
This makes Ruuvi Air suitable for continuous remote air quality monitoring.
