COOKER HOOD VENTILATION

In a recirculating range hood, the air and steam passing through it are filtered using an activated carbon filter. The filtered air is returned to the room through the range hood's exhaust grille.
If you have a cooker hood connected to a chimney, where the air and steam passing through the cooker hood is directed out through the chimney, you do not need an activated carbon filter.
