The NeSu Basic is a consumer disposable face mask, also called a community mask, designed to effectively prevent the wearer from spreading pathogens to the environment.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö is responsible for producing the nonwoven fabric material of the NeSu Basic masks in Tampere. The 3-layer nonwoven filtration is based on mechanical filtration, which increases durability and allows for longer use.

Usage instructions:

Wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer before and after handling the mask. Remove or replace a used wet/damp mask, as a misused mask can cause more harm than benefit. Remove the mask by touching only the straps. Place the used mask in a plastic bag, as a dirty mask may spread viruses.

Please note that an overly tight mask may also cause health issues, especially for people with heart or circulatory diseases, asthma, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Do not use the mask if breathing is difficult.

This mask does not comply with personal protective equipment regulations and is not a respirator. It is not equivalent to surgical masks and is not intended for medical use. The product is not CE-marked. The mask does not meet FFP2/FFP3 protection standards.

Important: This is a hygiene product and cannot be returned or exchanged. The mask may help protect others from droplets from the wearer’s respiratory tract. It does not protect against coronavirus.
