Bag filter measurement guide

1. Place the bag strainer in a vertical position so that you can see the mouths of the bags vertically in front of you.

If your machine has a vertical filter position, the bags should also be vertical as the airflow will keep the bags open.

If the bags are horizontal, the airflow will not be able to open them.

On the other hand, if your machine is set horizontally so that the bags hang downwards by gravity, the orientation of the bags is less important.

2.Measure the width of the frame to the nearest millimeter.

3. Next, measure the height of the frame to the nearest millimeter.

4. Then turn the bag filter sideways and measure the depths of the bags.

When selecting the bag depth, make sure that the bags can be straightened freely in the machine in the provided space.

Bag depths are standardized by manufacturer, so choose the closest measurement, i.e. the most suitable option.

5.Calculate the number of bags.

6.Finally, check the label on the edge of the frame or on the filter bag itself for the filtration class.

Historically, the filtration class has also been identified by color, typically the F7 filters have used a reddish color.

M5 and G4/G3 materials have used white.

G3/G4 material also often appears coarser, and M5 and higher filter grades appear finer.
